Southeast Asia is a diverse economic powerhouse that poses numerous challenges for rights holders looking to protect, manage and develop their IP assets across the region.
As both local and international companies increase their IP creation, R&D and manufacturing activities in the region, the disparities in levels of protection between jurisdictions are a significant concern.
The region is also home to world-class research and innovation hubs, but the need for strategic IP management is crucial if future technological breakthroughs and business ideas are to generate economic and corporate success.
Against this background IAM held the first IPBC Southeast Asia at the Grand Hyatt, Singapore on March 3 2017.
This dedicated one-day event took IPBC’s core themes of IP value creation and corporate IP best practice and discussed them from the viewpoint of both international and domestic companies operating in the region.
The event brought together over 200 senior executives from leading regional corporates, research and governmental communities for a packed day of high-level discussion, hours of unmatched networking and business opportunities.
We are grateful to everyone who attended IPBC Southeast Asia 2017 and hope to meet you all again next year!
